I am a part of a small group that runs the entirety of the NMA art gallery. Below are examples of social materials, wall tags, posters, postcards, and website mockups I have created to bring attention to our exhibitions.

Digital work created for social media.

Content creation was brainstormed, shot, and edited with a small team of docents.

Our summer exhibition, Grounding, brought artists from around the world together through art centered around all the ways one might imagine grounding.

Phrases against a white orb that expands and retracts, placed on the side edges of the page.

A slow color-changing glow ball that appears after hovering over an artist of your choice to view.

Background colors dim ever so slightly to grab the attention of viewers.

The website invites users into a meditative atmosphere that breathes with the individual.

More website design ideas.

Silvia Ruzanka’s exhibition Botanical Computing discusses plants and their place in the technological world. Ruzanka’s interest in net art and technology gave me inspiration to design a website for her artworks that ties in a crucial time for computation: the introduction of the internet. Reintroducing the computer screens one might have seen during the early 2000s showcases the work itself while creating a website that uniquely stands out on its own in the current world of website design.

When clicking on an icon such as the “recycle bin”, rather than nothing happening, the user might see text pop up that relates to books that inspired Ruzanka or her works in progress.

Website assets were created with the help of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, and put together with Figma.

Ruzanka had several desires for the website:

  1. Introduce easter eggs.

  2. Re-think grids.

  3. Make it weird.
